Mommies and Guppies is a monthly event designed just for preschoolers and their parents to explore the aquarium. Held during special operating hours, moms and tots enjoy up-close animal encounters with creatures like sea stars and urchins, story time, sing-a-longs, games, and crafts.
We invite you to visit the Aquarium one time per month for a brief educational talk about our species of the month and pick up your Beachcombers Guide, then the real fun begins! Head out with your detailed Beachcombers Guide to explore our beautiful tide pools and shorelines in search of the animal of the month. Let us do the hard work and detail for you- where to go, how to get there, and what to look for. You get to do the fun part and enjoy your exploring! Seven months of marine science for $20 or $17 for CCA Members!
We can offer formal and informal programs to your school, festival, party, and more. Our mobile touch tank allows us to bring a variety of tidepool creatures, such as sea stars, hermit crabs, barnacles, anemones, urchins, and other fun friends! We can tailor the program to your needs and curriculum and can provide complimenting lessons. These could include marine mammals, sharks, plankton, and others upon request.
Campers (K-3rd) have the opportunity to spend their spring break week engaged in fun-filled, hands-on marine science activities. Every day is a different theme so campers discover a broad range of ocean topics.
More information will be posted soon and sign ups will go live in January 2018.
